Claire relates well to those students who don't know what they want to do because that's how she felt as an undergraduate double majoring in English and Anthropology at the University of Virginia. Since then, she has worked in different areas of student services including admissions, student activities, and Career Services, where she has been since 2006. She has a B.A. in Communication and Psychology, and a M.S.Ed. in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania.

Anne Lucas, Career Counselor alucas@upenn.edu 215-898-7529

Anne earned her BA in English and MS in Counseling and Human Relations, with a Higher Ed concentration, from Villanova University.  Early in her career she held administrative positions in publishing and data processing services.  More recently, and for the majority of her career (20+ years in total), she has worked in Career services at Penn (part-time), Villanova, Bryn Mawr, and Haverford (part-time) Colleges.  As the mother of two relatively recent college graduates, she is especially familiar with the anxiety often surrounding the job search.  Anne seeks to help students develop a positive perspective and maintain a sense of humor during what can be a stressful time in their lives.

Please note: Anne's office hours for the fall semester will be Tuesdays from 12-5pm and Thursdays from 9am-5pm, starting on Thursday, September 10th.

Peggy Curchack, Career Counselor curchack@upenn.edu 215-898-7529

Peggy is delighted to be back counseling undergraduates and alumni of the College of Arts and Sciences.  She initially joined the staff of Career Services in 1982, counseling students in the schools of Nursing, Education, and SP2.  From 1985-2005 she headed the team advising CAS students and alumni, and for the past two year has worked part-time in Career Services.  She feels honored to have worked with so many outstanding students and alums, and to have many who continue to keep in touch with her.  In addition to her work at Penn, she makes weekly visits to NY to see her no-longer-young parents, and serves as a Trustee of the Valentine Foundation, funding social change initiatives for women and girls.  She holds a BA in Sociology from Vassar College, and an MA in Counseling and Personnel from Western Michigan University.

Please note: Peggy is on the office on Wednesdays.
