PennDesign Virtual Career Fair and Resume Books
Information for Students in the School of Design
Opportunities to connect with employers are coming up very soon!
PennDesign Virtual Career Fair
The PennDesign Virtual Career Fair, an online career fair, will take place from Monday, March 24 to Friday, April 4. Students will not be able to see the fair, which will be listed in PennLink, until March 24. The online format of the fair will enable you to make contact with a variety of employers who aren't usually able to come to the traditional on-campus fair. During that time period, you will be able to view the profiles of several organizations and submit resumes to employers/positions that interest you.
For step by step instructions on how to partcipate in the Virtual Career Fair, watch this short Power Point presentation.
PennDesign Career Connection Day
PennDesign Career Connection Day, an opportunity for employers and PennDesign students to connect, will be held on Friday, March 28, 1:30-4 p.m. in Meyerson Hall. Mark your calendar, make copies of your resume, and plan to attend. Employers are looking forward to talking with you.
As employers sign up, you can find out who they are by checking Employers Registered.
Resume and Job Application Critiques
You can also come to the Career Services office (3718 Locust Walk, Suite 20, McNeil Building) for critiques of job hunting materials and discussion of career-related concerns. We have walk-ins every day from 2:00-3:00 PM, and from 11:00-12:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Call (215) 898-7530 to schedule an appointment or to confirm walk-in hours.
List-Serve
Career Services also maintains a PennDesign distribution list. Currently many employers are posting job and internship announcements with us which we send to the list. To find out to sign up for the Career Services list, please follow this link.
Resume Books
Career Services offers employers the chance to download resume books collected from PennDesign students. Each year employers use these books to reach out to students they are interested in meeting (either at the career fair or at another date). The deadline for uploading your resume to the Resume Books has passed for 2008.
We've prepared a short PowerPoint tuturial on PennLink and a comprehensive FAQ on uploading resumes.
