Other Professional Master's Degrees There is a wide range of multi-disciplinary professional master's programs that train individuals in the skills necessary for specific careers. Some require prior work experience in the field, while others do not. Typically, these programs take between 1-2 years to complete and, in many cases, they are often essential for advancement to mid- or upper-level positions in these fields.
