Dean's Letter/Certification Forms In order to receive a Dean's Letter/Certification for law school, please follow the procedure below. In all cases, the Penn Dean's Letter takes the place of individual schools' Dean's Letter/Certification forms. Step One: Download and complete the appropriate school-specific form: Step Two: Download and complete a general letter of recommendation form: Step Three: Mail both completed forms to the appropriate Dean's Office (addresses are on request forms). The Dean's Office will then forward your completed Dean's Letter to your Credentials File. Once it appears in your Credentials File, you must submit a written request to have the Credentials Service send it directly to the individual law schools. Dean's Letters are never submitted directly to the LSDAS. Visit the Credentials Service for instructions on opening a Credentials file and other relevant procedures.
