Biomedical Postdoctoral Fellows

The following advice was offered by graduate students and postdocs who found positions in the field of management consulting.

"Here is an outline of the steps that I took:
1. Explore options, attend career seminars and company presentations, talk to recruiters and other postdocs and students.
2. Refine the resume. Have the resume read by career service counselors, colleagues and friends in industry of your interest.
3. Apply to jobs posted in Pennlink, attend on-campus recruiting presentations and job fairs.
4. Practice interviewing with career service counselors.
5. To apply for McKinsey, practice case interviews with other applicants, friends, family members and consulting club members.
6. Exchange experiences with other applicants."
