For Graduate Students
Individual Advising
Graduate career counselors are available to critique resumes, CV's, cover letters and other job hunting materials and to discuss any career-related questions. All meetings are confidential. Call 898-7530 to schedule an appointment. Walk-in hours are usually scheduled daily 2-3 and Mon., Tues., and Thurs., 11-12. Call ahead to make sure they are being held on the day you wish to come in. Academic Job Search Handbook
One copy of this complete guide to conducting a job search, including an extensive section on writing vitas and cover letters, is available to every Penn doctoral student for $5. (Retail price is $14.95).

Fellowship Information
Literature from several hundred funding organizations is filed in the Career Services library, where many funding directories are also available. Current issues of The Grants Advisor. Grant Advisor and the Career Services funding data base are also available through the funding section (click here) of the Career Services homepage.
Programs and Workshops
We offer many programs on career options, job-hunting, and preparation for academic and post-academic careers. These include an annual Academic Career Conference, Faculty Conversations on the Academic Job Search and Academic Life, and a series on "The Expanded Market" for doctoral students. Job Listings, Internships, Summer and Part-Time Jobs
Permanent, summer, and part-time openings with employers interested in Penn students are available at our main reception desk. These listings can also be found online through PennLink.
Library

Files of Letters of Recommendation
You may establish a file which can be added to and used throughout your career. Information about this service, as well as how to ask for a letter of recommendation, are also available on-line.

Recruiting
Representatives from government and business conduct employment interviews with students who will graduate within the year. Click here to go straight to our On Campus Recruiting homepage. Make sure you see one of the graduate counselors to discuss ways to work with the recruiting system. Hundreds of presentations also give you ways to meet representations of organizations.
Practice Interview Sessions
You may schedule a videotaped practice interview with a Career Services counselor, who will help you present yourself to employers more effectively. Call 898-7530 if you want to schedule one.
List Serv
