Highlighted Resource - International Opportunities

In this increasingly global world, lots of you may be interested in different international career and internship opportunities. Career Services offers many resources, programs, and events to help you find the right international opportunity for you.
As you consider this path, here are some things to keep in mind:
• Finding opportunities takes time so start looking early. Explore your options and develop the tools to realize your goals by familiarizing yourself with the resources on our International Opportunities Page which includes our *new* subscription to GoinGlobal (log in with your PennKey and password for access).
This narrated presentation provides an overview of resources for finding opportunities abroad:

• Think about what is most important to you: location or type of work. If you absolutely have your heart set on working in London, you may want to be more flexible about the type of work you do. On the other hand, if you know you’re committed to international public health issues, there may be many international locations with interesting positions.
• Familiarize yourself with visa requirements for the location(s) of interest to you. To successfully find work overseas, you will first need to understand and fulfill any visa requirements. More information on visas can be found on our web site: http://www.vpul.upenn.edu/careerservices/internationalinternships.html#Visas and in the GoinGlobal country guides.
• Plan to attend Penn’s 4th Annual International Opportunities Fair on Friday, October 30, 2009 from 11:00am to 3:000pm, Houston Hall.
