What is the one piece of advice you have for underclassmen about deciding on a career or job?
The one piece of advice I have about deciding on a career is to pick something you are passionate about since you’re going to be doing it every day for the next part of your life.

Graduate school for a PhD in biomedical research

Type of work, location, work environment
What do you think made you most marketable as a candidate for the position for which you were hired?
I’m very personable and outgoing which is important to have in a lab. I also did a fair amount of lab research as an undergrad.

About 6 months
How did you develop your interviewing skills?
I’m in a sorority and I think that formal recruiting is helpful for learning how to interact in networking and interviewing situations.

2 – In 5 years do you see yourself as a lab leader or having moved on to a different field?
What is the one thing you wish you knew as an undergraduate at Penn?
I wish I took more advantage of exploring Philadelphia. I think it can give a better perspective on life at Penn.
