What is Education and Social Services Career Day?:
Education and Social Services Career Day is sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania's Career Services office. This career fair will allow you to meet with Penn students and alumni interested in learning about opportunities in education and social services, as well as related fields such as intercultural communication, counseling, social policy/research, advocacy and non-profit administration.
Where is the event being held?
The Career Fair will be held on the University of Pennsylvania's campus in the Hall of Flags, by Houston Hall's eastern entrance: 3417 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19104. A map to Houston Hall can be found by clicking here.
Who attends this event?
The majority of those who attend this career fair are students and alumni from University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education (GSE) or School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2). GSE offers Master’s degrees in many fields including Teacher Education, Intercultural Communication, Higher Education, and Policy, Research, Evaluation and Measurement, and PhD and EdD degrees in various fields. SP2 offers an MSW degree (Clinical and Macro tracks), MS in Social Policy, MS in Non-Profit/Non-Governmental Organization Leadership, PhD in Social Welfare, and DSW in Clinical Social Work. Students and alumni from other schools within the University of Pennsylvania who are interested in education or social services are also welcome to attend.
How do I register?
Due to space constraints, we can accommodate only a limited number of organizations. You may register for the event by clicking HERE. In the past, the event has filled up quickly, so you are advised to register early. The last day to cancel your fair registration and receive a full refund is Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
What is the cost, and what is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee of $75.00, payable by check or credit card, includes a 6-foot table, parking and lunch for up to two representatives. Checks must be made out to "The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania," and sent to:

There is a $25 fee for each additional representative.
How can I ship display materials ahead of time?
We can begin to receive packages for the Education and Social Services Career Day NO EARLIER THAN Monday, February 27, 2012. Limited space is available to store packages, therefore it is very important that packages are not shipped prior to this date.

How do I get to and from the University of Pennsylvania?
The University of Pennsylvania campus is located in an area of West Philadelphia known as University City. Please refer to this page as a guide to using public and private transportation effectively.
- From the Philadelphia International Airport:
SEPTA Airport Express Train
The Airport Express Train (R1 line) leaves 9 minutes after every half hour from Terminal E & F. The fare is $6.00 and the ride takes about 20 minutes. You can take the R1 to either the University City stop or 30th Street Station. Schedules are available at: http://www.septa.org/schedules/rail/w/AIR_1.html
Cars, Taxis and Limousines at the Airport
A metered taxicab costs about $25-$30, including tip, and the ride takes about 20 minutes. The Inn at Penn and the Sheraton also offer airport shuttle service. Inquire at the front desk.
- Arriving by Amtrak or SEPTA trains:
30th Street Station
All Amtrak Northeast Corridor trains & SEPTA Regional trains stop at 30th Street Station. The campus can be reached from 30th Street Station by cab ($5-$6), on SEPTA's Green Trolley Line (to either 36th and Sansom Streets or 37th and Spruce Streets) or the Market-Frankford Line (to 34th and Market Streets), or by foot. 30th Street Station is a 15-20 minute walk from the heart of campus and Houston Hall.

The designated parking lot for this event is Lot # 30: NE Corner of 38th and Walnut Streets, where parking spaces have been reserved for recruiters. The lot is about a 7 minute walk to the fair, and you will pick up your parking pass from a Career Services representative after you check in at Hall of Flags. Please make sure to present the parking pass to the lot attendant upon exiting. *Due to limited parking, we suggest that you take public transportation if possible.
