We are thrilled to welcome Elly Porter-Webb to Civic House as our Office Coordinator. Elly brings to Civic House strong nonprofit experience in Philadelphia, and a deep commitment to supporting students engaged with service and social justice work. A graduate of Earlham College, Elly comes to us from the Campaign for Working Families, where she played a variety of roles, including, but not limited to coordinating volunteers and special events, managing grants, and supervising volunteers. Elly also performed equally varied roles with Philadelphia Jobs with Justice, where she was the Director of Membership as well a board member and worked as a Parent Organizer with Action United, bringing together parents to fight for essential resources for public schools.
At Civic House, Elly is responsible for organizing the House's overall activities, including our programs and events, coordinating work-study employees, managing facilities, processing and tracking financial activities, and maintaining our website content, among other areas. Elly will also play an important role in Civic House's communications and alumni relations and development efforts.
