Sara is excited to be serving as an AmeriCorps*VISTA at Civic House this year.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with distinction in Political Science, a minor in French, and a certificate in Arabic in May 2007.  At Penn, Sara was a member of several service and cultural groups including the After School Arts Program, of which she is a co-founder, and the Penn Arab Students Society, on whose board she served.  She completed independent research through the University Scholars Program and was involved in service abroad, teaching English in refugee camps in Lebanon, where she studied at the American University of Beirut.  Sara is thrilled to be working with students to support their partnerships with the communities of West Philadelphia.
