Seneca International is a student organization advocating for the civil, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing women around the world. We will be launching next fall at the University of Pennsylvania and other select colleges in partnership with the Philadelphia nonprofit Women's Campaign International. We are accepting applications for a Director of Programming and Director of Research at our core Penn Chapter. We encourage male students to apply, as our founding principles emphasize the involvement of men as well as women. The deadline to apply is May 30th. Please email director@seneca-international.org for questions and applications.
FreePlay on The Parkway feature Philadelphia's only eight-sided public sandbox, Imagination Playground in Blocks, and free activities from local education and cultural organizations for both children and adults. It is the 1st pocket park created by Play Inbetween, a non-profit organization that fills underutilized City spaces with creative and contemporary pocket parks. We are looking for summer interns who will engage in different projects as a Play Associate.
This summer a group of students will have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala with Pencils of Promise to experience our work first hand. Students will work to inspire a movement to achieve universal access to quality education. For more information and how to apply visit www.TheImpossibleOnes.org.
The University Life Arts Initiative is trying to gather information about engagement in the arts here at pPenn. Please take this survey to help them collect information. Any student can take the survey.
We are seeking current students to post to our Day in the Life program on Twitter, @PennCareerDay. This is your chance to tell your story and help other students at Penn know what it's really like to intern for a nonprofit. If you're interested, fill out the registration form and we'll get in touch.

The 40th Street Artist-in-Residence Program (AIR) awards West Philadelphia artists one year of free studio space at 40th and Chestnut Sts. In exchange, each artist shares his/her talents with West Philadelphia by leading workshops, teaching classes, exhibiting in the area, etc. Founded by artist Edward M. Epstein in 2003, the program addresses the need for studio space in West Philadelphia, assists artists with career development, and makes the 40th Street area a nexus for visual arts.
