PennSEM

PennSEM and the Wharton Program for Social Impact are accepting applications for the PennSEM Internship Program. There are two upcoming information sessions where interested students can learn more information. They will be help on Tuesday Jan. 24th 8-9pm in JMHH G88 and Wednesday Feb. 1st 8-9pm in JMHH F92. LONG TERM OPPORTUNITIES

North Star After School Program

We are looking for students interested in tutoring grades K-8 in math, reading and writing. Tutoring takes place Monday through Friday from 3:30-4:45 at Julia de Burgos Elementary School or Fairhill Elementary School. See website for more details or contact Caitlin Thomas.

Mentor for Minds Matter of Philadelphia, Inc.

Minds Matter is a not-for profit organization whose mission is to guide accomplished high school students from low-income families by preparing them for college success. We are looking for volunteers/mentors for the students. Mentoring will include essay writing, applying for college summer programs and being a positive influence and young professional advisor for these students. PhillyPatientRide

American Cancer Society and Philly Car Share are sponsoring PhillyPatientRide where volunteers will drive cancer patients to and from their treatments in Philadelphia. For more information and to sign up to volunteer visit their website or call 215-985-5359.

Breakthrough

Breakthrough is a tuition-free academic enrichment program for low-income high-potential middle and high school students. BT empowers students to succeed in academically rigorous high school programs and then gain entrance to four-year colleges and universities. Breakthrough is looking for volunteer tutors and teachers to participate in the program and assist middle and high school students. Art-Reach Development Intern

Art-Reach is a 25-year old organization that facilitates access to the arts for people with disabilities and economic disadvantages. Art-Reach is looking for a resourceful and service-oriented student to work at the organization Development Intern to write grants and conduct grant research for Art-Reach. Penn Science Across Ages

Sayre High School Volunteer Opportunities

The Sayre High School College Access Resource Center is currently seeking Graduation Coaches, Academic Tutors, and other volunteers to work with Sayre students. Moelis Access Science

The Moelis Access Science program is committed to STEM teaching and learning and is seeking a Student Coordinator. The student coordinator will be responsible for program coordination and development. See website for more information. 

Penn Students Offering Support

Penn Students Offering Support has student volunteers work together to hold tutoring/exam-aid sessions for their peer students. These sessions are used to raise funds to help children in Latin America acquire access to a quality education.
