Close Mentorship
Penn Civic Scholars are provided with focused advising by Civic Scholars faculty and staff. Students are assigned an academic advisor and are able consult with the director of the program and the staff of Civic House as they plan coursework, service, and research experiences. Penn Civic Scholars will also have immediate contact with the associated faculty of the program (as well as with community leaders) through the freshman and sophomore proseminar. Finally, students will have selected faculty mentors to guide their capstone research projects.
