The following is a list of agencies and organizations in the Philadelphia area that address issues surrounding homelessness and housing:
Bethesda Project is a faith based, ecumenical community of prayer, reflection and action, is dedicated to the plight of homeless people in Philadelphia. Their primary mission is to “ create communities wherein men and women, who experience chronic homelessness, find sanctuary and have their basic needs met in the company of a compassionate and caring families . Bethesda operates My Brother's House, a safe haven for vulnerable homeless men and six permanent residences for formerly homeless women and men. (215) 985-1600
Project H.O.M.E. is a nonprofit organization committed to social and political advocacy and provides housing and services to chronically homeless men and women. Achieve Ability helps single parent, low income, formerly homeless families to reach self-sufficiency by providing comprehensive, intensive, supportive social services and educational supports in tandem with quality, affordable housing.
Philadelphia Committee to End Homelessness is a privately-funded organization that offers several programs and services, such as a day center and street outreach. In addition to providing services to homeless person, PCEH also works to increase awareness of issues surrounding homelessness.

Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia builds and rehabilitates houses and neighborhoods by providing simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need.
Kensington Welfare Rights Union (KWRU) is amultiracial organization of, by and for poor and homeless people. KWRU is dedicated to organizing of welfare recipients, the homeless, the working poor and all people concerned with economic justice.
Shelter Listings is a nation-wide community effort made possible by its users. The list includes emergency shelters, homeless shelters, day shelters, transitional housing, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and permanent affordable housing.
