An ideal candidate would already possess good interviewing skills, but would have the opportunity to hone these with the support of PANA's communications director.

An intern's primary duties would be:

-Calling news reporters in individual markets to follow up on press releases about these events; Coordinating media coverage of these events
-Evaluating the Enter the Zone Events: Compiling information for the PANA website (which schools participated, what activities were
performed, etc.), and interfacing with the schools to collect information and photos from them to post on the PANA website.

PANA is the leading organization working to address childhood obesity in Pennsylvania, and there's a real opportunity for an intern to perform interesting, valuable work that will help them learn what it's like to work on the communications staff of a statewide non-profit organization.  PANA's staff is a small, highly-motivated group of women who are passionate about good nutrition, physical activity and the health of our state. Please visit the "About PANA" section of our website (www.panaonline.org) and click on "Meet the Staff" for more information.

All rules of the university or institution would follow.
Location: PANA's main offices are in Harrisburg, and its communications director works from a home office in Green Lane, PA
(northern Montgomery County.)  Ideally an intern would be located close to either of these offices, however PANA would also consider offering an internship to a self-motivated student who could perform the work from home or school and check in over the phone with PANA staff members. In this instance, PANA staff would also want to interface with the student's college internship coordinator.
Time Frame: Available during the spring or fall semester.
