At Penn
Alternate Spring Break –student run organization that sponsors community service trips to various locations across the country. A fun way to spend spring break!
Circle K – Penn chapter of an international organization that promotes and provides service in the area. Join the group or find out how to get involved.
Habitat for Humanity – This group works on housing development throughout the year and are always looking for helping hands.
Weekend Service Council – a group of Penn students dedicated to developing one-time service projects for other students at Penn.
Rebuilding Together – A year-long effort culminates in the organization’s productive Event Day.
Local Programs
UCHC – The University City Hospitality Coalition offers a hot meal and social services to local guests at religious centers right in/around Penn’s campus. Offers volunteer opportunities six days a week.
MANNA - The Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance prepares and delivers meals to people with life-threatening illnesses in the Delaware Valley.
Philadelphia Cares - supports the creation of vibrant communities by motivating people to volunteer their time, talents, and resources. Many one-time service projects are available.
CitySail – works to empower Philadelphia youth and educate on environmental issues while sailing. One-time or ongoing volunteers are welcome.
UC Green – revitalizes University City neighborhoods through physical renovation and horticultural education.
CityTeam Ministries – (males only) Serves poor and homeless men in the area through a variety of emergency and rehabilitative programs. A variety of opportunities and times are available.
