Please Read Below: Important Driver Registration Information!!
To drive a Civic House van you must take an online driver safety course. You can access the training at any time by logging into Knowledge Link (http://knowledgelink.upenn.edu), using your PennKey and password. Search for "driver safety", and the two course names will appear (Fundamentals of Driver Safety, and Driver Safety Training for Van Drivers). To drive a Civic House van, you must take the Driver Safety Training for Van Drivers course, listed as a Risk Management course, which takes about 1.5 hours to complete. You do not have to take all parts of the training in one sitting: you can take one or more modules at your convenience and return later to take others. However, all modules in a course must be finished with an 80% score or higher for your training to be complete. The training should be taken as soon as possible, and definitely one week before you plan on driving.
All van drivers must be 21 years of age or older and must have the following documents on file at Civic House:
- Copy of Driver's License
- Copy of Penn Card
- Driver Safety Course Certificate
- Completed Van Usage Agreement Form (located at Civic House)
The Community Service Vans are available to the following groups in the following priority order:
