Celebrating 25 years of Intercultural Service to Penn!
In 1984, the Albert M. Greenfield Intercultural Center (GIC) was established as one of the first centers on Penn’s campus, specifically designed to support students of color, The center also had a goal of bringing students together across all communities at Penn, with the goal of making all students feel welcomed and included in the dialogues around diversity.
Now, in 2009, we are celebrating 25 years of building Intercultural Communities at The University of Pennsylvania. Over the years, our mission has expanded, and we are delighted to be working with many more centers, student groups, staff and faculty with similar goals.
