Teaching Performance Art for Cross-Cultural Education
This class will examine issues related to cultural communities and the arts, specifically performance, writing and storytelling as an educational tool for generating cross cultural and intercultural understanding, dialogue and exchange.
Assignments will focus on research on culture and performance, and skill building in teaching, writing and performance. Students will also develop an understanding of how performance art can be used to enhance classroom activities in
elementary/middle/secondary school curricula.
