A support group for transgender and gender-variant people. This group strives to assists individuals with transgender or gender-related issues, such as how to come out to friends and family and how to deal with internal and external transphobia. A group for gay and lesbian couples and singles seeking to adopt. Members of our Pre-Adoptive Parent Support Groups discuss the emotional and practical issues related to initiating, waiting and succeeding with domestic or international adoptions. The groups also give pre-adoptive parents time to think about parenting, something that oddly is often avoided during the waiting-to-adopt phase when so much emphasis is placed on getting the baby. These professionally led groups typically meet one evening per month until everyone in the group has adopted.
