The Center's Special Funds

  • The Mark D. Gordon, C'65, L'68 Lecture Fund – Established with a generous gift from Mark Gordon, will support annual lectures by distinguished scholars on subjects important to the campus LGBT community.
  • The Leslie Townsend Fund – Established with gifts from actor and community activist Leslie Townsend, will assist students making a gender transition.
  • Annual Operating Fund – Gifts to this fund supplement the Center's limited annual budget and hence support the expansion and enhancement of Center programs and services.

Center Endowments

Endowments for LGBT Center staff, programs, and services ensure that essential operations continue indefinitely. Donors may choose to endow a specific position (e.g., Center Director), particular programs (e.g., Speakers Bureau) or service (Mentoring) of special interest to them, or contribute to the general endowment fund.

Capital Improvements

Current priorities for Carriage House improvement are: expansion and refurbishment of the Spruce Street entrance and courtyard; renovation of the east end of the first level to serve as a comfortable meeting room and gathering space; and upgrading the building's security system. These and other improvements provide naming opportunities for generous donors.
