Outreach and Education

We offer education workshops about the lives and concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. These can be designed to fit the needs of a particular audience and address specific issues.

Programs may include students and others talking about their personal experiences or discussing current events affecting the LGBT community. These individuals are volunteers with the Center's Speakers Bureau.

Major Events and Public Forums

We sponsor a variety of activities and seminars, including:

Reading Room / Research

The Center maintains a large collection of books, videos, DVDs and periodicals written for and about sexual and gender minorities.

Advocacy

Our staff advocates on behalf of Penn's LGBT community for sensitive and inclusive University policies and practices. We offer confidential assistance to those who feel they have been harassed or discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Staff members are available for consultation regarding these matters.
