    Learning Instructor (Part-time, hourly wage)

    Responsibilities include:

    • Meeting individually with Penn undergraduate, graduate, and professional students to help them develop effective academic reading, writing, and study strategies.
    • Designing and facilitating study strategy workshops.
    • Collaborating with university faculty and administration to provide academic support for diverse student groups.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate student in related experience and strong commitment to issues of learning and teaching in higher education.
    • Enrollment in EDUC 578, "Teaching Reading and Studying in Colleges and Universities" (some exceptions allowed). This course will be offered Fall 2006 on Monday, 7-9pm.
