The Office of Learning Resources provides professional consultation services in university relevant skills such as academic reading, writing, study strategies, and time management to the Penn community. This academic support is provided through a varied menu of services and programs:
Individual instruction is
the backbone of the program. Students can make appointments for one-on-one consultations
with a Learning Instructor to address concerns and build upon already strong
study strategies. Call 57-EXCEL (573-9235) for an appointment.
Walk-in hours are
available during the academic year, Monday through Friday from noon to 3:00PM

Appointments are one half hour and are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Print Information is available in the form of self-help pamphlets self-helps, handouts, and calendar tools for independent use.
Interactive workshops provide
group learning opportunities throughout the academic year. Several workshop
series have been designed for specific groups of students. In addition,
individual workshops can be requested for
particular courses, college houses, student organizations, or other University

Collaborative
University Programs constitute a growing
service offered by Learning Resources. Within these programs, Learning Resources
collaborates with various student services, academic departments, and campus
organizations to provide academic workshops and seminars for diverse learners.
Our current collaborations include: Training
Programs, The Penn Mentoring
Program (PMP), and Navigating
the Dissertation.
