Training and Consultation

Staff members from the Office of Health Education develope and facilitate training sessions, workshops or consultations with a number of on and off-campus groups including:

  • Academic Advisors from Penn’s twelve undergraduate and graduate schools
  • Coaches and Athletic Teams
  • College Houses and Academic Services staff (Residential Advisors, Graduate Associates, Health Liaisons, House Deans)
  • Staff from Student Health Services
  • Staff from the VPUL Resource Centers
  • Student Leaders from IFC, Panhel and the Big-C
  • Peer Health Education groups


Potential training or consultation topics include:

  • Assessing the health status of your community
  • Building a healthy community
  • Correcting misperceptions about student health
  • Creating a healthy body image environment
  • Creating a sexual harassment free environment
  • How to listen and how to help a friend
  • Identifying and managing unhealthy stress
  • Priority alcohol and other drug information
  • Priority sexual health information
  • Priority nutrition and fitness information
  • Priority sleep and stress reduction information
  • Ten simple ways to reduce stress and stay healthy at Penn
