University Life at Penn offers five programs for incoming students in advance of New Student Orientation. The links on the top menu bar will provide you with detailed information for each program.

Each program offers incoming new students opportunities to learn, engage with upperclass student leaders, make lasting friendships within their class, and have FUN!  Pre-Orientation Participants can move into their College Houses early as part of the program and no part of New Student Orientation is missed.  A partial scholarship is available to eligible students who qualify for financial aid through Penn.

There are additional pre-orientation programs sponsored by other departments offered at Penn.  Please note: these programs have different timelines and procedures. They include, but are not limited to: Advancing Women in Engineering, Wharton's Successful Transition & Empowerment Program (STEP), and Hillel's "FreshMeet Retreat".
