The Penn Women's Center: Promoting Peace and Understanding in a Diverse Campus Community
The Penn Women's Center (PWC for short) is one of the oldest women's centers in the nation. As a hub for all women's organizations on campus and a central locus for activity, advocacy, and activism within the community, the PWC is devoted to developing greater awareness of women's issues both on Penn's campus and within the community. The Center supports students and staff through resources and services that foster the integration of their academic, social and community service activities to enrich their Penn experience. A defining element of the PWC is collaboration. Whether it is between organizations, offices and/or people, we endeavor to build programs and an environment emphasizing and supporting collaboration and consensus.
