Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the PWC Administrative Assistant and other PWC staff, perform clerical and administrative duties central to the operation of the Penn Women’s Center. Responsibilities include, receiving visitors, answering telephones, making follow up calls, word processing, updating and maintaining files and bulleting boards, posting flyers and announcements around campus. Additional responsibilities include working with student and community groups and supporting the PWC special events and programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and respond to requests for information.
• Update and maintain bulletin boards and resource files.
• Design flyers, brochures and other public relations materials.
• File, copy, clip newspapers and other publications.
• Run errands and post flyers.
• Provide clerical and administrative support for PWC programs, events
and special projects including committee work, research, writing, and
editing.
• Make referrals as appropriate to the PWC staff and other resources.
• Serve as liaison to student and community groups who work with the
PWC
• Assist with mailings
• Other duties as assigned


Kathleen Isaac
Kathleen Isaac is a junior in the College from Brooklyn, N.Y. She is a Psychology major and French minor with aspirations of acquiring her PhD in Health Psychology. She is concerned with mental health issues and plans to conduct AIDS research from a mental health perspective. Kathleen, known to most as Kathy, is deeply involved in community service and performing arts. She is currently president of both the Dessalines Haitian Students Association and the Wepac Step Mentoring Program. She also serves as Vice President of the Du Bois House Council. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the New Spirit of Penn Gospel choir, and tutors West Philadelphia children through the ASE Saturday Academy out of Du Bois College House. Kathy has been with the Women’s Center for 3 years.

Edwina Jones
Edwina is senior at Penn State University, Main Campus. She is completing her Women Studies BA, Chinese Minor with an internship at the PWC. She works full-time for HUP and facilitates Sister-Sister with the PWC on Monday nights. Her love is for languages, travel, people, and all types of food. After graduating this fall her goals are to study in China for a year (or 2) before returning to the US for graduate school.

Liz Ramos
Liz Ramos is currently a senior in Mechanical Engineering. She is originally from Dingman's Ferry, Pennsylvania but now spends most of her time away from school in north Jersey with her grandparents. Liz is involved with several other groups on campus, including the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Society of Automotive Engineers, and the International Affairs Association. She is very passionate about travel, and spent a semester during her junior year abroad in Queensland, Australia. After graduation Liz will most likely be accepting a job with General Motors near Detroit, Michigan.
