While school is in session we are open 6 days a week and always have a doctor on-call for emergencies. Our hours change slightly depending on the time of year. Appointments may be made by web, phone or in person.  In the event that you are ill and SHS is not open, there is an on-call provider available by telephone to answer emergency questions. You can access this person by calling the main number at 215.746.3535 and pressing the prompt for "emergency".

In an emergency situation, a student might be referred to the nearest Emergency Department for further evaluation (either Hospital of the University of Pennsylviania/HUP or Presbyterian Hospital ER).

If the provider feels as if the student is not critical, he/she may give advice and/or treatment by telephone.
