Ashlee Halbritter, MPH- Director
Ashlee joined the Campus Health team in October of 2012. She received her Masters of Public Health degree from UCLA and several years with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She has worked at the federal, state and local government levels, as well as with non-profit organizations. Over her career, she has managed projects in a variety of topic areas, including public policy, built environment, sexually transmitted diseases, chronic disease and environmental health. As Director, Ashlee leads Campus Health efforts to develop, implement, and maintain a healthy Penn.
Fun Fact: Ashlee loves power tools, books, and ice cream.
Toyosi Soniyi, MPH- Data Analyst and Epidemiologist
Toyosi joined Campus Health in September 2016. She received her undergraduate degree in Botony in Nigeria before moving to the United States to pursue her Masters of Public Health at the University of Iowa. Her background is in occupational and environmental health, with specialized interests in injury epidemiology, data analysis, and report writing.
Fun Fact: Toyosi loves data, public health, and ice cream.
Rebecca Huxta, MPH- Public Health Specialist
Rebecca joined the team in September 2014, first as an intern and eventually as a full time staff person. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina and recently received her Masters of Public Health degree from Drexel University. She operates within the many public health facets of Campus Health. Rebecca is involved in student outreach and education through the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes associated with our programs and works to find creative ways to bring health promotion ideas to campus. She also supports all aspects of Campus Health's disease surveillance and prevention.
Fun Fact: Rebecca loves grammar and fried pickles.
Mary Guagenti, RN- Public Health NurseMary Guagenti works clinically as a nurse at Student Health, but she also supports the public health efforts of the Campus Health team.
Sandi Herman, M.S.- Health and Wellness EducatorAs a health educator for over 30 years, Sandi has developed expertise in holistic approaches to stress reduction. She came to Penn in 2001, providing smoking cessation counseling to individuals and groups. Focusing on stress reduction, mindfulness, and self-care, these workshops incorporate such practices as meditation, guided imagery, self-massage, and mindful movements. In addition, Sandi leads bi-weekly meditation sessions for Penn students and, at Student Health Service, offers individual sessions for stress reduction.
