Welcome Wellness Partners

Letter from the Vice Provost for University Life

Dear Penn Partners,

After listening closely to student concerns for more information about campus resources, VPUL is launching "Penn Wellness Partners."  This campus-wide program will visually designate faculty and staff who are knowledgeable about Penn wellness resources.

I invite you to join us as a Penn Wellness Partner!  The "work" consists of proudly displaying a Wellness Partner decal/cling on your office door or window and making yourself available to students seeking information or referrals. Wellness Partners will have a comprehensive resource guide available to give to students to help them choose the most appropriate next step, be that CAPS, the Weingarten Center, a school advisor, the Chaplain's Office, or any of the many other support services at Penn.

Many of you already assist students in need informally, so I am hopeful you will make it official by becoming a Wellness Partner!  We are inviting faculty and staff members who have participated in appropriate resource training, including Counseling and Psychological Services' (CAPS) I CARE training, Anti-Violence Advocate training (AVA), and/or CAPS Liaisons orientation.

Thank you so much for your committed service and continued support of our fabulous Penn students!

Dr. Valarie Swain-Cade McCoullum, Vice Provost for University Life
