Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
MBCT was originally designed to help prevent relapse for people who suffer episodes of depression and chronic unhappiness. Also, it can be helpful for those with anxiety and difficulty tolerating uncertainty. Participants become acquainted with the modes of mind that often characterize depression, anxiety, panic, while also learning to develop a new relationship to them.
Duration: Eight weeks for classes, a mandatory orientation session, and a Day of Mindfulness on a Saturday, from 9:45 am till 4pm, (see dates below)
Orientation: Tuesday, February 4th, 4:30-6:45 pm
Meeting Dates: Tuesdays, starting February 4th until Tuesday, April 7th, plus a Day of Mindfulness on Saturday, April 4th, from 9:45 am until 4 pm.
: Acceptance into this group requires an individual meeting with Aurora Casts, MD.
Location: CAPS, 3624 Market Street, 1st Floor
You must be able to commit to ALL the sessions and the day of mindfulness. You cannot continue with the group if you do not attend the orientation and the first session.

Print and complete the Participant Information Form, the Participation Agreement Form, and the MBCT Acknowledgemant and Waiver Form, and bring them (or fax them to 215-573-8966) to CAPS no later than Friday, February 8th. DO NOT EMAIL THEM AS THEY CONTAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
