Mind Body Well Being
What is Mind Body Well Being?
Mind-body: At CAPS, the term "mind-body" refers to services that reflect the importance of understanding how the mind and body are interconnected and affect each other. These services can simultaneously address aspects of the mind (e.g. thoughts; emotions) and the body (e.g. breathing; muscle tension).
Well-being: Well-being is a subjective term that can mean different things to different people. At CAPS, we think of well-being as the ability to respond and adjust to demands in your life and find fulfillment in ways that are important to you. Well-being can encompass, reflect, and be affected by something within oneself (e.g. mind and body) as well as identities and experiences outside of oneself (e.g. academics, social relationships, cultural identities).
