Job and Internship Listings
There are several ways to identify open positions in the federal government. The central database for most job listings is USA Jobs - the U.S. government's official web portal. There is also a portal called Student Jobs which includes jobs and internship listings for undergraduate and graduate students. Many agencies and departments within the federal government have job listings on their own websites, and participate in career fairs. Additionally, there are several commercial sites that do recruitment for government positions.

Student Jobs - According to the web site, "studentjobs.gov gives the maximum flexibility in performing one-stop employment information searches. It's convenient, user-friendly, accessible to persons with disabilities, and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week"
E-Scholar Programs - encompasses Jobs, Internships, Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants, Apprenticeships and Cooperative Education within the Federal Government
Office of Personnel Management - offers information about policies on benefits, salary, and other aspects of being an employee of the federal government
