Reserving Interviewing Space for Telephone or Virtual Interviews
To help facilitate interviews that occur off-campus, Career Services offers space for telephone interviews and equipment for video conferencing interviews.
Our video conferencing room is conveniently located just down the hall from the Career Services office in the McNeil Building, and is fully-equipped with a computer and big-screen monitor that connects to an HD camera and speaker system. Students and employers can connect through Blue Jeans Network (a cloud-based video conferencing service), Skype, or telephone for remote interviews. Employers who use traditional ISDN or IP video conference systems can use their existing equipment to dial-in to our videoconference suite and connect with students via BlueJeans.
Students interested in reserving the room and equipment should contact Career Services. To request telephone or video conference interview space, you may:
- Complete this online reservation request form, or call us at 215-898-7531 with the interview date and time, employer name, and the type of interview. Advanced notice is always best, as the video conferencing room is subject to availability.
- Once you have reserved the video conferencing room, plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your interview to check-in at the Career Services front desk. If the interview will take place outside of normal business hours (9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday), you will need to pick up a key one business day before the interview.
Employers interested in finding out more and reserving the equipment should contact their recruiting manager. Video conferencing is a great option for employers who are on travel restriction, or otherwise cannot travel to campus to interview students. Whether you want to schedule one student or a dozen, video conferencing is an option to consider.
