Marketing Assistant Summer Work-Study 

Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture, a non-profit Arab arts and education organization based in West Philadelphia, is seeking a Work-Study Student to assist in marketing content including but not limited to posting on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and writing weekly newsletters (mailchimp), promoting various programs and events. The person in this position will work directly with our Marketing and Events Coordinator. While some of the work can be done remotely, the bulk of the work will be done on a laptop in the office (36th and Cedar).

- excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- well organized with attention to detail
- experienced or interested in Arab arts, culture, and history
- experienced in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
- experienced or willingness to learn Mailchimp and Wordpress
- preferably proficient in reading and writing Arabic

3-6 Month Internship Opportunity
Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture, a non-profit Arab arts and education organization based in West Philadelphia, is seeking an Admin/Program Assistant to support administrative and programming work. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparing for events, clerical work in office, community outreach through flyering and networking with various constituents, preparing content for social media, and data entry in Salesforce. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn about non-profits and community arts. While this is an unpaid internship, staff will offer close mentorship and training on various skills, including Arabic language, Arab culture, and Salesforce.

Northwestern University Civic Education Project Summer Staff Positions 

The Civic Education Project (CEP) hires passionate, dedicated educators to work with highly motivated middle and high school students to explore our nation's most pressing social issues and ways students can take action.

Positions are available throughout the school year and summer at sites throughout the country. Staff receive a stipend, room and board, and training in service-learning and experiential education. Travel reimbursement is also available for select programs.

Civic House is Hiring : Graduate Assistant 2019-2020

Civic House at the University of Pennsylvania has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Assistant to join our staff, working primarily with the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. The person in this role will also contribute to a variety of educational programming, informed by Civic House's social justice framework.
