Ashley Johnson  joins us from Ohio, a native of Cleveland. After graduating from the Ohio State University where she earned a B.A. in History, Ashley spent two years in the classroom as a 4th grade teacher with Teach for America. In this work, she was able to spend time working on projects geared towards emotional and social growth skills in children and working with other TFA corps members on racial and identity formation skills.

Ashley joins our Civic House staff as the Associate Director of Alternative Break after having supported Civic House programming as the Graduate Assistant overseeing the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. Ashley earned her M.S. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
