From Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Liqhwa Ncube is a junior in the College who is still undeclared but premed. Her transition into Penn has been a good experience because of the resources Penn has to offer, especially the Weingarten Learning Instructors! She hopes to share and raise an awareness to these resources to ensure the success of others, especially international students. Besides the Office of Learning Resources Student Advisory Board, she is a PENNCAP peer counsellor, PHIN, the historian of the New Spirit of Penn Gospel Choir, and External Liaison for PASA. She is also a member of AIS.
Peter's hometown is Newark, New Jersey. In addition to being on the OLR Advisory Board, Peter is the treasurer of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students and a participant of the Robeson Coopers Scholars Program. What interests him about being on the OLR Advisory Board is how he can contribute to the better well-being of the Penn student. He sees how Weingarten is a huge asset in accomplishing the feat, and he wishes to support in any way that he can while collaborating with other students who want that same goal.
