The Performing Arts Council (PAC) is organized into four sub-committees: Dance, Theatre, A Cappella, and Singers Musicians and Comedians (which also includes spoken word). PAC and its advisory office, Platt Student Performing Arts House, offer training workshops and master classes throughout the year, alumni programs, career training, a summer theatre internship scholarship, as well as resources on the performing arts in Philadelphia.
A Cappella Council (ACK)
ACK is made of fourteen A Cappella groups ranging in size and style.
There's something for every dancer among the twelve DAC groups, ranging from classical technique to cultural dance.
PAC's most diverse sub-committee, SMAC, is made up of thirteen groups including the Penn Band, Mask & Wig and Excelano Project.
The seven student theatre groups that make up TAC-e are driven by wide-ranging missions.
Each of the four sub-committees are led by student-elected Chairs. The Sub-Committee Chairs serve as the PAC Executive Board and are charged with overseeing General Body Meetings (GBMs), auditions, performance calendar, and PAC-wide events. To learn about the current Executive Board, click here.

Each group conducts auditions individually. A cappella (ACK), dance (DAC), comedy, vocal and instrumental groups (SMAC) typically hold auditions in mid-September for the year; theatre groups (TAC-e) audition and hold technical interviews for fall, winter, and spring seasons.
