The Student Health Service is dedicated to serving students. We offer accessible and affordable care, with services designed to meet student needs.
Our medical staff consists of physicians trained in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Most of our providers have appointments as staff physicians at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and many also have faculty appointments in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Our providers also include clinicians trained as nurse practitioners and physician's assistants. The Student Health Service team also includes nutritionists, nurses, health educators, and medical assistants. We also have staff consultants from Podiatry, Acupuncture, and Therapeutic Massage available in the Student Health Service for several sessions each week.

In addition to the clinical services that we offer, we work in close collaboration with the other health and wellness departments in the University Life Division, and with our colleagues in the University of Pennsylvania Health System/Penn Medicine. We also coordinate public health programs and activities for University students, administer the university's immunization and insurance requirements and support the academic mission of the university through teaching, mentoring and research.

We continually assess our programs and services to make sure that we meet your expectations. Our independent accreditation by the Joint Commission since 1990 means that we meet rigorous standards for healthcare delivery. Achieving accreditation demonstrates our commitment as a organization to provide quality care on an ongoing basis. We also look to the Student Health Advisory Board and the Student Health Insurance Advisory Committee for ongoing feedback to make sure that we are meeting student needs and concerns.
